Seniors 55 years old and up are invited to participate in our fitness classes year-round. Contact the Aquatic Center for additional information about an Arthritis Class and Water Exercise class.


Astoria Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the Astoria Aquatic Center has signed a contract with Healthways to offer the SilverSneakers^® Fitness program to eligible members of participating Medicare health plans. Qualified members may use the Astoria Aquatic Center facilities at no charge. The Astoria City Council moved forward with the approval of the program in September of 2014.

Participating Silver Sneakers members may use the pool and the fitness facility at no cost. Exercise classes and Therapy Swim are also included in the program.
