Incident

The City of Astoria is committed to providing a safe work environment for all employees. As a City employee, you are protected by SAIF workers' compensation insurance in the event of an on-the-job injury or illness.  Worker's compensation insurance provides medical care, compensation for lost wages and temporary or other disability benefits. 

All work-related injuries or illnesses require reporting within 24 hours regardless of severity.  Workplace fatalities must be reported within 8 hours. Injury reporting assists in identifying and removing potential hazards to prevent future accidents.
