CITY OF ASTORIA COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

The Application Window Is Now Open

The City of Astoria is proud to offer three funding opportunities to eligible organizations projects and events within the City of Astoria. This includes two separate grant opportunities as well as an organization funding opportunity. Further information regarding these opportunities are outlined below. 

Arts and Culture Program to Promote Tourism Grant

The City of Astoria established the Arts and Cultural Program to Promote Tourism to provide funding to art and cultural events that will increase tourism in the City. Grant funding is provided through the Promote Astoria Fund which receives its fund from Transient Lodging taxes. Please review the below attachments regarding this program. 

Grant applications are due February 28, 2025; 5:00 PM.

Promote Astoria Fund - Funding for the Promotion, Development, and Services Supporting Tourism

The City of Astoria established the Funding for the Promotion, Development, and Services Supporting Tourism program to standardize the funding practices that provide funding opportunities for community organizations that  increase tourism in the City. Program funding is provided through the Promote Astoria Fund which receives its fund from Transient Lodging taxes. Please review the below attachments regarding this program.

Community Organization (Social Services) Grant Program

The intent of this program is to provide a grant opportunity to well established, not for profit social service organizations within the City of Astoria community who provide essential services to residents of Astoria. 

Grant applications are due February 28, 2025; 5:00 PM

Key Dates

  • February 28, 2025: Applications due. 
  • March 10 - 14, 2025: Separate meetings to decide on each program funding.
  • April 22, 2025: Budget Committee meetings will begin.
