Building Permits & Inspections
The Building Division administers the City’s permit and inspection program through the enforcement of the Oregon Building Code.
The City participates in the Oregon ePermitting program (Accela) which allows applicants to apply online here: BuildingPermits.Oregon.gov

If you are a homeowner, you may have issues navigating ePermitting, and you can submit via a paper application: Structural Permit Application
*Contractors must apply for and purchase building permits, submit plans, and schedule inspections through the Oregon ePermitting program for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Structural permits.
Electrical Permits - Clatsop County handles electrical permits and inspections.

The City of Astoria conducts Building Inspections Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Please call 1-888-299-2821 to schedule an inspection in the Oregon ePermitting IVR System.
