The Community Development Department assists with business development within the City limits. A Business Development brochure is available to walk you through the process of starting a business in Astoria. The Department maintains a Buildable Lands Inventory for commercial/industrial development property in Astoria.
As no two businesses are the same, you should contact the Community Development Department to discuss your plans. Staff can arrange for you to meet with the various departments at the same time to discuss your plans and determine what is needed for you to proceed.
Facade renovation loans are available for certain areas of the City including the Downtown area and the Uniontown area.
The Department works closely with the Astoria Downtown Historia District Association (ADHDA) concering development within the Downtown area including issues such as street amenities, facade renovations, transportation, parking, etc.
