time with the needs of the City of Astoria.
Volunteer Firefighter
Astoria Fire Department is always
accepting applications for new volunteer firefighters. Firefighting is a challenging as it is
rewarding! You are "on-call" when people - your neighbors - need help urgently! If you like the
challenge, the community service and the rewards of being a firefighter can give you, then become a
Volunteer Firefighter.
Student Intern Firefighter
If you are a student pursuing a
higher education in the Fire/EMS field, you may be interested in becoming an Intern Firefighter at the
Astoria Fire Department. As a Intern Firefighter, you can live at our Uniontown Fire Station, you work on
one of the three work shifts, and run calls as a member of the team, while taking college classes.
