Born in Bloomington, Indiana, Andy moved to Astoria in 2015. He works as a Research Analyst for the Oregon Health Authority. Before moving to Oregon, and had a diverse career including teaching, filmmaking, marketing, survey research, and baking.
Andy has served in several volunteer roles in the community. He is a member of the Copeland Commons non-profit board seeking to renovate and place workforce housing in the former Mallternative building on Marine drive. He has served as chair of the Clatsop County Budget Committee and the Clatsop County Countywide Citizen Advisory Committee for their Comprehensive Plan Update. He also served as secretary for the City of Astoria Budget Committee.
Andy studied Policy Analysis and Sustainable Development at Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Religion and Classical Studies at Wabash College. He is passionate about governance for and by citizens, and about developing resilient communities.
