Vance decided to make Astoria home in 2018 after being a frequent visitor for many years. He received an education in Historic Preservation & Restoration from Clatsop Community College then went on to start his own historic wood window restoration and fabrication business, Astoria Wood Windows. Working out of a wood shop just off of 39th Street, he is passionate about preserving Astoria’s historic character.
Vance is a founding board member of the Astoria Housing Alliance.
Vance as drawn to Astoria because of the sense of a strong and engaged community, and he is excited to serve Astorians as a City Councilor.
