WATER IS SAFE FOR CONSUMPTION
Astoria, OR – The Boil Water Notice for Willowdale, River Point, Cavalier Court, and surrounding areas, issued on Friday, March 28, 2025, has been LIFTED.
Recent testing of the water supply confirms that the water is now potable, and boiling is no longer necessary to avoid contamination.
On the evening of Friday, March 28, 2025, a water main leak located approximately one-quarter mile south of the Oregon Department of Forestry along Highway 202 was repaired. After the repair, water samples were collected from the affected areas to test for bacteriological contaminants. On Monday, March 31, 2025, the test results showed no bacteriological contamination. As a result, the boil water notice has been lifted, effective immediately.
Due to the nature of this repair, users may still experience some non-hazardous water quality issues. The water may appear cloudy due to air in the water lines or may have taste or odor issues. If this occurs, please flush your tap water until the undesirable qualities resolve.
Please share this information with everyone who uses this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly.
